Synopsis:
This case examines the implementation of creativity and innovation or uniqueness in new product development which plays a significant impact on the performance of the company as well as the economy in our country.The uniqueness of the product through innovation process is geared towards high commitment, perseverance, value creation, high quality and internal locus of control.However, the using of oblong brand by close competitors was giving a threat to Zunita. Capital constraint was also the main obstacles for Zunita. She had attempted to apply for several loans from various government agencies, but the amount available was insufficient to get the new machine. The major role played by Northern Corridor to provide financial assistance to her in expanding the business is also explicated in the case.The case also highlights the various issues and challenges that took place and which needed to be tackled in the entrepreneurial process for the new venture development such as branding strategy and human resource management.
